- As part of the outreach and education work of The TIF Illumination Project, I’ll be presenting TIF research and analysis in citizen-powered TIF Town Meetings all over Chicago. The first is in Englewood on March 9. Then Washington Park on March 16. Then South Shore on March 30. There are ten wards in motion right now where people are organizing TIF town meetings! - I was a present at eChciago at UIC presenting on technology and civic engagement on April 26, 2013.
- I was a presenter at the 25th edition of PechaKucha Chicago at Martyr’s on March 5, 2013 at 8:00pm. What is PechaKucha? “PechaKucha 20×20 is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds.
- I was a presenter at TEDxIIT on Saturday, April 14, 2012. The theme of the entire day was “Gaining Momentum.” My presentation was on The Gift Economy. Watch it here. I was the lead-off presenter at TEDxIIT 2011. It was a gas!
- Was at the 2012 Creative Chicago Expo on Saturday, March 24 at The Chicago Cultural Center where I was invited to conduct a round table discussion on Stand Up For Creativity 2012: Time To Advocate for Power & Resources – how to get serious resources for the arts and artists in Chicago and the U.S.
- Did two training sessions at Occupy The Midwest’s Regional Convention, Saturday, March 17 in St. Louis.
- Presented on creativity and careers for IIT’s Friday Fusion for business major undergrads, Friday, February 17, 2:00pm at Wishnick Hall.
