Tom Presents "The Creativity Imperative" at the University of Chicago

100 UC alums joined me at the Gleacher Center in Chicago on Wednesday, July 25 at 6:00pm for a fun and informative presentation, "The Creativity Imperative - Why Creativity is Job One for America (and Your Company)."

What do the current issues of the Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, the Economist and Business Week have in common? They're all featuring multiple stories on the role of creativity in society. Why are creativity and innovation such hot topics at this time? Why does Daniel Pink (in his best-seller, A Whole New Mind) claim that "the MFA is the new MBA"? This presentation explained why creativity has come to play such a vital role in society and outlined the dimensions of what has been called the Creative Economy.

The event organizer said this about the presentation:

I enthusiastically recommend Tom Tresser to anyone seeking a truly inspiring performer and facilitator. I recently had the pleasure of introducing Tom to the Chicago Graduate School of Business Marketing Roundtable. Tom provided a 90-minute presentation that fully engaged the audience. As an advocate of creativity, he made a very compelling case for corporate cultures and national policies that will foster creativity and remove roadblocks that might otherwise hold us back. He challenged each of us to come up with aggressive personal and professional calls to action that will help us achieve our full creative potential – both individually and on a business level...he always delivers a performance that motivates and inspires.

GSB Marketing Roundtable
